Hardin County Retired Teacher Association Kicks Off 2024-2025 Season with Upcoming Meeting at Kenton Elks

The first meeting of 2024-2025 for the Hardin Co. Retired Teacher Association is scheduled for Friday, September 20, at noon at Kenton Elks.

They are inviting all Hardin County retired teachers to attend the lunch and hear from speaker Kara Brown of Simon Kenton School.  Attendees will also hear from HCRTA Pres. Madelyn Lowery to discuss any new information concerning the COLA.

They will also be accepting donations for Angels for the Elderly.  Some items being requested include boxed cereals, toilet paper, Hamburger Helper, canned meat, and ChapStick.

The lunch menu includes cashew romaine salad, egg casserole, fresh fruit cup, beverages, and dessert. There is a choice of dessert of gingerbread with cinnamon whipped cream or pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling. The cost of the lunch is $14 and includes the tip.

Reservations must be made by September 17th by calling or texting Jodine McKinley at 567-674-4536.

The hostess committee is Chr. Jodine McKinley, Sandy Moore, Pat Ritchey, and Kim Thomas. They look forward to seeing everyone and stated that any new members are always welcome.
