Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Offering CCW Classes

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the Sheriff’s Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) will be offering a Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) course May 15th from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM and again on May 22nd from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the Russell Ludwig Conference Room at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, 1025 S. Main St., Kenton.

The 8 hour course includes classroom instruction and live-fire range experience that meets the standards for receiving an Ohio Concealed Carry (CCW) license.

The class is open to Hardin County residents 18 years of age or older (although, a CCW license may not be obtained until the age of 21 and must be obtained within 3 years of completing the course).

The cost is $75.00. Pre-registration is required.

Registration requests for the May 15th class must be received by April 30th. Registration requests for the May 22nd class must be received by May 7th.

Class sizes are limited and registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

A waiting list will be maintained.
