Hardin County Treasurer Passes Away; Commissioners Appoint Interim Treasurer

Hardin County Treasurer Denise Althauser passed away this past Wednesday at the age of 57. 

She worked as the Treasurer since 2009, and recently was elected President of Ohio Treasurer’s Association. 

Althauser was a member of the Hardin County Republican Executive Committee and held office in the Hardin County Womens Republican Association. 

Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. 

Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding, Ohio at a later date.

The Hardin County Commissioners appointed Brieanne Sullivan as Interim Treasurer.

The Hardin County Republican Party has 45 days to appoint a replacement for the unexpired term.
