Hardin Half Marathon Organizers Present Check to United Way of Hardin County

Hardin Half Marathon organizers, Stephanie & Bob Temple present United Way of Hardin County Executive Director, Michele Daniels with a check in the amount of $4,333.72 which represents the proceeds of the wellness event held on Sunday, September 26th.

The event kicked off at the former location of the K-Mart store in Kenton. 60 participants pre-registered for the event and several registered prior to the start on race day.

The event included the participant’s choice of 1 of the following type of event: 1 mile fun run/walk, 5 K, 13.1 Half Marathon or 25 mile bike ride. The route was past the Kenton Elementary School and through the countryside north of the school.

Participants took part from Kenton, Ada, Alger, Bellefontaine, Van Wert, New Philadelphia, Lima, Marysville, Sylvania, Greenville, Marion, Powell, Columbus, Loudonville, Raymond, Englewood, and Delaware.

After race completion, many of the participants remained in Kenton to take advantage of our restaurants.

We wish to sincerely thank you to everyone who sponsored our event. T shirts were purchased locally at Custom Torso and Race signs were purchased at Golden Graphics.
Many thanks to the Ohio Health Hardin Wellness Center staff who were present at the event to assist any participants in need.

The proceeds will help them provide funding for the 19 partner agencies that depend on the United Way of Hardin County for some of the money that they need to provide their service(s) to the people of Hardin County.
