Hardin Northern Sets Date to Open New Track Facility

Phase II of the Hardin Northern facilities update began late last spring, 2019 with the upgrading of the track and field areas and the installation of restrooms and a concession stand to support both baseball fields and the new track complex. 

According to the school’s newsletter, the track is complete except for a few areas that need some additional fencing. 

The concession stand and restrooms are nearing completion and is expected to be finished prior to the start of the spring sports season. 

There is a ceremony scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 31 prior to Hardin Northern’s first track meet versus Arlington and Lima Temple Christian. 

This ceremony will be designed to mark the opening of the track as the facility will be dedicated to past performers and coaches who have distinguished themselves in the sport. 

There will be no cost to attend the event.
