Tiffany went into detail about how early intervention has touched her family and how she enjoys the opportunity to help other in her current role. The Buddy Walk® has become known as the premier advocacy event for Down Syndrome in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community. In 2023 in Columbus, OH, The Buddy Walk brought together over 10,000 people for a fun day for parents, caregivers and children effected by Down Syndrome while raising money and awareness.

Early intervention (EI) falls under the umbrella of HCDD and offers support from birth to 3 years of age regardless of income. EI services support parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities and is grounded in the philosophy that young children learn best from familiar people in familiar settings.

The EI team, which includes a service coordinator and service providers, work with families to develop a coordinated plan to help children learn and grow.
