HCSO Warns About Internet Scam

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning about an internet scam taking place.

The office has received reports that homes have been falsely advertised on Facebook as being for rent, but they are not. 

It seems that the advertised rentals are sale properties listed by Century 21 Realty. 

Prospective renters should exercise due diligence to verify the validity of such rental ads found on Facebook or other social media, especially before entering into any agreements or exchanging any money.
