Helen M. Thiel age 94 of Kirby

Helen M. Thiel age 94 of Kirby died Friday July 17, 2020 at her residence. She was born Oct. 26, 1925 to the late George & Inez (Worline) Norris. She married Ivan “Buck” Thiel on Mar. 4, 1946 and he passed Mar. 4, 1990. Mrs. Thiel is survived by her children Diane (Barry) Weber, North Canton, Sherry Thiel, Monica Stansbery, Kyla (Jim) Nordyke all of Upper Sandusky, Scott (Janice) Thiel, Kirby, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Michael “Mick” Thiel, grandson Casey Nordyke, great grandson Garrett Thiel, and two brothers Bill and Ed Norris.

Mrs. Thiel worked for the United States Pentagon after high school. She also worked at the former Pour House and Evergreens restaurants. Mrs. Thiel was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, Kirby. She enjoyed playing BINGO, and loved her animals. She will be remembered for her delicious pies, and the best beef & rivels.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM Wed. July 22, 2020 in St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, Kirby with Father Conrad Sutter OFM Conv. and Deacon Kevin Wintersteller officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Kirby. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00AM Wed. July 22, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, Kirby.
