Helms and Sons Excavating Bid for Downtown Improvements Contract Accepted

Kenton City Council met for their 23rd regular session of 2023 Monday evening. During the meeting a resolution authorizing the city to accept the bid of and enter into a contract with Helms and Sons Excavating in connection with the downtown improvement project’s phase 2A was passed. Safety Service Director Cindy Murray would add that it is believed the city will be receiving $4 million in principal forgiveness on Friday but if that isn’t received the contract will not be signed.

Prior to that we were introduced to the new council elects Steve Walter and Dan Miller. Walter is a pastor Kenton and Hepburn Community Churches. Miller shared he has worked at Graphic Packaging since 2007 and is a proud father of 5.
