Every year the Hardin Northern FFA chapter holds their November chapter meeting in conjunction with a Thanksgiving Potluck, where they invite community members in to enjoy food with the students, and see how an FFA chapter meeting is run.

This year we had over 30 guests present, and each FFA member brought in a dish to share.

At the meeting, after everyone gets settled in, the Hardin Northern FFA officers present the FFA opening ceremonies and report what they have done in the past month.
After this the guests and FFA members are open to eat from all of the dishes that are brought in for the meeting. At the meeting the chapter has made it a tradition to give out free FFA Chapter Shirts to FFA members who have met the incentives.

This year to get a free chapter shirt, individual members had to sell 15 Chicken BBQ tickets (a fundraiser that is held during homecoming weekend, and provides meals for community members). They had to be involved in at least 5 chapter activities, and they had to meet their Fruit Sale incentives. This year 36 FFA members met the incentives to receive the free T-shirt sponsored by the platinum chapter sponsors.

The platinum sponsors for 2021 include: Quest Federal Credit Union, LandTech, HSLC, Ag Credit, Ada Automotive, Boose Family Farms and the Dunkirk Dairy Dream.

After everyone was finished eating and T-shirts were handed out, the officers addressed new business, and officially ended the meeting. After the closing ceremony, the FFA and community members were able to mingle with one another and talk about upcoming events.

To conclude, this annual meeting is always really fun, and it is great seeing all of the community members come out and participate and interact with our FFA chapter.
