Both Hardin Northern urban and rural soils teams advance to state competition at the recent district competition.
The urban team came in third in the district and the rural team dug out second place competing against many teams.
Cooper Thomas placed first for the urban team followed by Leif Trachsel.
Placing first for the Rural team was Zeb Wilson followed by second place Landon Wetherill.
Both teams are preparing this week by studying and continuing to practice.
They will compete at the state soils contest this Saturday October 8.
