The 2024 Holiday Season kicks off tonight in the City of Kenton.
Carol Steegman, Director of the Kenton Historic Courthouse District, said that the festivities will start at 5:45pm this evening with the unveiling of Window Wonderland.
She noted that 13 windows have been decorated this year.
The lighting of the Courthouse lights will take place at 6:00pm.
After that, Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb said a dedication ceremony will be held for Main Street in the city, following a nearly yearlong reconstruction project.
The mayor said this is the new foundation and is what the city will build on for the future.
After that, the Kenton Lions Club Ohio’s Biggest Small-Town Parade will begin.
Line-up and staging begin at 4:30 this afternoon, and the parade will start at 6:30.
In preparation of the parade, there will be no parking permitted around the square after 3 this afternoon.
More information on this evening’s events can be found on the City of Kenton or Kenton Historic Courthouse District Facebook pages.
