Indian Lake area residents who suffered losses in the March 14 tornado are encouraged to file an appeal if they think their Federal Emergency Management Agency inspection did not include all of their loss.

The Logan County Emergency Management Agency has received some reports of low payments from an initial FEMA inspection.

FEMA also provides assistance for temporary housing in the form of an initial payment to help you secure housing.

Additional funds can be available by requesting rental assistance.

You should follow up with FEMA by calling the help line at 800-621-3362 or going to the Disaster Recovery Center to speak with a representative.

More information is posted on the Logan County EMA Facebook page.
