Information Released on Two Accidents from Sunday

More information was released on two accidents that occurred this past Sunday.

 

According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the first occurred Sunday morning on State Route 309 at County Road 175.

 

Randy Ufferman, of Fredericktown, attempted to turn a semi from 309 onto 175 and struck a car being driven by Sharon Kneisley, of Forest.

 

She was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

 

Ufferman was not injured.

 

He was cited for a right of way violation while turning left.

 

The second crash occurred Sunday evening in the area of County Road 144 and Township Road 199.

 

Henry Mitchell, of LaRue was driving east on 144 when he attempted to pass a car in front of him. 

 

His car crossed into the westbound lane into the path of a motorcycle being operated by William Woods, of Zanesfield,

 

Woods began braking to avoid a collision which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle, which ended up overturning.

 

Woods was taken by Life Flight to an unknown hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries.

 

Mitchell was cited for a traffic violation and was not injured. 

 

The crash remains under investigation.
