Inlet Dance Theatre and the ONU Dance Company Set to Perform at The Freed Center for the Performing Arts at ONU

ADA, Ohio – The Freed Center for the Performing Arts at Ohio Northern University (ONU) announces its full slate of theatre, dance and music events for the 2024-25 season, beginning with Inlet Dance Theatre and the ONU Dance Company on Sept. 28.

Flexible season subscriptions are now available for purchase through the Pick 2, 4 or 8 packages which allow patrons to build their subscription the way they want to, and save up to 20% off single ticket prices while securing the best seats. The ONU Holiday Spectacular is not eligible for the season subscriptions, but subscribers can purchase tickets early for this very popular event as an add-on to their subscription order.

Single tickets are available for purchase approximately six weeks prior to each event and are currently on sale for the Sept. 28 and 29 performances by the Inlet Dance Theatre and the ONU Dance Company. Ada performances of The ONU Holiday Spectacular go on sale Oct. 8.

Subscriptions and single tickets can be purchased online at www.freedcenter.com, by phone at 419-772-1900 or in person at the Freed Center Box Office, Monday through Friday, Noon to 4:30 p.m.

The season opens with a collaborative dance concert featuring the Ohio-based dance company Inlet Dance Theatre along with the ONU Dance Company during ONU’s homecoming weekend. Two performances will be held on the Biggs Theatre stage slated for Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.

The program will present two choreographed pieces and one guided improvised piece, under the direction of Inlet’s founding Executive/Artistic Director Bill Wade. By “using dance to further people,” Inlet Dance Theatre is one of the region’s most exciting professional contemporary dance companies with roots in American Modern Dance.

The 2024-25 season for the Freed Center for the Performing Arts continues with the following events.

Oct. 31: ONU Orchestra Halloween Concert

Nov. 3: Band-O-Rama featuring the ONU Marching Band

Nov. 21-23: The ONU Holiday Spectacular at The Freed Center for the Performing Arts

Dec. 6-8: The ONU Holiday Spectacular at Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center (Lima)

Dec. 12: ONU Orchestra and University Singers Holiday Concert

Feb. 1-2: Dance 60×60

Feb. 20-23: Machinal

March 20: ONU Symphonic Band Irish Spring Concert

April 10-13: Hello, Dolly!

April 26-27: 16th International Play Festival: Ukraine

May 2: ONU Orchestra Reflections on Nature Concert

May 4: ONU Spring Band Festival XLVIII
