Private family services for James Cornell will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Hardin Hills in Kenton. He was born on July 15, 1962 in Kenton to the late Harold and Gertrude (Fink) Cornell. He married Shannon Gill on October 31,1983 and they divorced, he then married Tamara Garman on September 7, 1996 and they also divorced.

Surviving are 2 sons; Brandon (Christina) Cornell of Kenton, Dalton (Darian Lake) Cornell of Kenton, and 2 grandchildren; Jayden and Kysen.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Johnny Cornell.

James was a 1980 Kenton High School graduate. He worked for ODOT as a foreman for 30 years until his retirement.

James was a huge football fan, especially of the Kenton Wildcats and his favorite NFL team, the Miami Dolphins. He also collected Miami Dolphins memorabilia.

He also enjoyed listening to 70’s and 80′ rock and roll music.

Although James enjoyed his alone time, he always looked forward to spending time with his mother every night before her passing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kenton Athletic Boosters.
