Joy L. Woods

Joy L. Woods, 84 of Kenton passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020.  She was born in Kenton on May 17, 1936, the daughter of John and Maebelle Whitaker.  Joy married Ronald Woods and they divorced. She is survived by her six sons; Gary (Joyce) Beverly of Claypool, IN, Randy (Jan) Beverly of Kenton, Dan (Pam) Beverly of Alger, Dennis (Cindy) Beverly, Robin (Paula) Beverly and Ron (Renee) Woods all of Kenton.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four sisters; Shirley Frost of Kenton, Wanda (Jim) Crisp, Linda McKinney and Vicki Scutchsfield all of Claypool, IN and two brothers; David (Luann) Whitaker of Bluffton, Ohio and Steve (Tammy) Whitaker of Ridgeway.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maebelle Whitaker and brothers; Wayne, James and William Whitaker. Joy was a homemaker and loved shopping. A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the family will receive friends from 11:00am Friday, until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Preston Cemetery.  Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.
