Retired OSU Extension 4-H Agent, Ken Lafontaine, and his wife, Darlene, honored by the 4-H Camp Ohio Board at their first annual Donor Day on Saturday, August 28th.
The Lafontaines were given the Friend of 4-H Camp Ohio Award, which is presented annually to a supporter of camp.
Since his retirement in 2008, Ken has remained active as a volunteer and a board member of 4-H Camp Ohio.
Together Ken and Darlene have spearheaded many improvement projects at camp, from new curtains in all the cabins, energy efficient upgrades to cabins, and a complete bathroom renovation.
Their contributions to camp have made 4-H Camp Ohio a place that all campers can continue to enjoy, just as the generations before them.
