The City of Kenton and the Ohio Department of Transportation are looking at options to provide easier and safer travel through downtown Kenton.

They are evaluating alternatives to improve the connection between U.S. 68 and State Route 31 with an emphasis on reducing or removing semi-truck turns on the roadways surrounding the courthouse.

The study was performed to evaluate different alternatives to address traffic flow inefficiencies and congestion.

The alternatives are in the vicinity of Perry Street south of the Scioto River.

A public hearing has been scheduled to discuss the study, proposed alternatives, answer questions and gather public input before making decisions.

The meeting will take place from 5:30 until 7:30pm on Thursday November 16 in Veterans Hall at the Hardin County Courthouse.

The public is encouraged to attend.

Following a meeting, copies of the meeting materials will be posted in th project website at: transportation.ohio.gov/Hardin68-31Feasibility
