Kenton City Council Makes Steps for Water Main Replacement

In last night’s meeting an ordinance was passed that allowed for the mayor and or safety service director to enter into a contract with Driven Excavating LLC for construction services on the water main trunk line replacement project. Another ordinance was passed that allowed for the funding of this project. The price of this project is $377,030.50. 

There was another ordinance that had been passed that allowed for additional appropriations for several items to the tune of $36,424. Some of the items included police and fire equipment as well as tree commission and swimming pool maintenance of equipment, and quarry maintenance of equipment. 

The council also allowed the Mayor and or Safety Service Director to go into contract with the company Republic in relation to a new trash collection service. 

The next meeting of the Kenton City Council will be held on Monday May 11th at 7 P.M.
