Kenton City School District Board of Education Met Monday Night

To begin the meeting the board had the newly hired staff introduce themselves. Among the staff were cafeteria workers, bus drivers, teachers, intervention specialists and multiple Kenton Alumni.

 

Superintendent Penczarski also made a note that there is an opening for a board position for Ohio High Point Career Center. If you wish to apply the application can be found on the Kenton City School Website. Once applied the Kenton Board of Education will pick an applicant to recommend to the Ohio High Point Board.

 

The board also recognized and congratulated student Landon Bartlett who had been chosen as a member of the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American Team for the 2018-19 year.

 

Finally, the board gave consent for Superintendent Penczarski to conduct research over the course of the 2019-2020 school year. The study focuses on teacher leaders in formal leadership positions and the findings will be used to refine the district’s current organizational systems to encourage, cultivate and sustain transformational teacher leaders in the Kenton School District. The board was also assured this study will in no way will affect the students and their ability to learn.

 

The next regular Board of Education meeting will be held on September 16th at 7 p.m.
