The following was released by Kenton School Superintendent Jennifer Penczarski:

Starting Monday, March 23, 2020 we will be changing our process for school lunch pickup.

We will have lunch pickup at our five sites (Kenton Elementary School, Kenton Middle School, Kenton High School, Board of Education Office, and the former Eastcrest Elementary School)  on Monday (3/23/2020) and Thursday(3/26/2020)  between the hours of 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M.   We will also be dropping off lunches to Scioto Village Apartments at 12:00 P.M. and lunches to Wharton Park at 12:30 P.M. on Monday (3/23/2020) and Thursday(3/26/2020).

On Monday, families will receive three lunches and three breakfasts.  On Thursday, families will receive two lunches and two breakfasts.  We will provide information regarding the following week’s lunch schedule on Thursday, March 26, 2020.

School lunches will be available at the designated sites for any child ages 1 – 18 according to the guidelines for the Federal Summer Seamless Feeding Program.  Students do not have to be from the Kenton District to come to the sites to pick-up lunches. We ask that an adult complete the following google form https://go.kcs.me/lunchdelivery  so that we can prepare enough meals for all kids.

The pick-up procedures are as follows:

1. Any person driving to a site will need to stay in their vehicle and follow the drive-thru procedures as directed by the staff at the site.

2. Any family who plans to walk to a site, we ask that you only send one family member to pick up all of the lunches that day.  For example, if you have three children that need lunches, please send one person and we will give that person all three lunches to take home.
