Two Kenton Elementary students were announced as finalists for the Ohio STEM Learning Network Sticker Design Challenge.
Students were invited to use their creativity and imagination to design a sticker, similar to the iconic mission patches worn by astronauts.
STEM teachers say that they have submitted entries for several years but have never had a finalist selected.
Amara Barnett and Amyrinth Pierson were both selected in the top 5.
Teachers Amy Boone and Carrie Dilley said they are proud to have the students represent Kenton Elementary School.

The winners are expected to be selected by the end of January.
