The Kenton girls tennis team travelled to Lima on Wednesday night to face Lima Central Catholic.

In first singles, Mykaela Schriber of Kenton fell to Olivia Kesner of LCC 6-0, 6-1.

Kenton’s Lily Obsorn at second singles lost 6-0, 6-1 to LCC’s Morgan Chaney. Grace Collins of Kenton was topped by LCC’s Paige Brinkman 6-1,6-0 at third singles.

First Doubles Kayce Sherman and Aaliyah Rogers of Kenton were bested by LCC’s Anna Janowski and Maddie Brinkman.

Kenton’s second doubles Abbey Anglemyer and Samantha Lowe lost to LCC’s Nicole Patricio-Agosto and Carrie Heider 6-1,6-3.

“The girls had to adjust to a lot of power and top-spin tonight, which they haven’t seen much of yet this season. They tried to adjust but couldn’t get their rhythm going to put together many games. This was a great learning experience and we look forward to when we get to play LCC again in a few weeks,” said coach Katie Isenbarger.

Kenton travels to Bath on Thursday.
