The Kenton Hardin Health Department issued a statement regarding the cancellation of gatherings of 100 persons or more that will be cancelled immediately.
The directive was issued Thursday by the State Department of Health and Governor Mike DeWine and is being done in response to the current preventive measure in controlling the possible spread of COVID-19.
Gov. DeWine announced that a mass gathering does not include normal operations at airports, bus and train stations, medical facilities or shopping malls.
The order also does not apply to typical office environments, restaurants, factories or retail stores, religious gatherings or gatherings for the purpose of exercising First Amendment protected speech.
