The Kenton-Hardin Health Department talked about a need to have a Volunteer Coordinator for the department.

At their monthly meeting Tuesday evening, Kevin Risner, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and Healthcare Coalition Chair, said they have $10,000, which he said is a lot of money to pay for the part time position. “That person will be making sure we have volunteers we need for vaccination clinics. There’s a lot of things we don’t need paid staff for. That person may be touching base with EMS. They may be talking to service organizations around the community, maybe high school groups who need service hours. That will be somebody who can make those kinds of phone calls, and make those kinds of arrangements,” said Risner.

Risner added that if an advertisement to fill the position is not out now, it will be shortly.
