The Kenton Lions Club members have prepared the south end of the park in the playground area for their continued renovation of Pioneer Park.

The Lions wire brushed the Stagecoach, merry-go-round and the swing then painted them. Lions club members also wire brushed and painted the steel frames then replaced all the boards on all four benches and all four picnic tables.

The highlight of the park is the refurbished Stagecoach, where the Lions wire brushed and painted the steel frame, replaced the wood that act as the seat and footboard, then sanding and refurbishing the side panels.

The Kenton Lions in partnership with the City of Kenton will continue to rehab the park, with the addition of some new playground equipment in the play area, A new grill, and trash cans throughout the park.

This will take time as the Lions do fundraisers to pay for the equipment.

Lion President Jason Van Buskirk and Lion Joe Burgbacher have overseen the park restoration.

Hardin County’s #1 Service Organization, the Kenton Lions meet at the Kenton Elk’s on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.
