A man was arrested after a pursuit that started in the City of Kenton ended with a crash on State Route 309 at State Route 235 south of Ada Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release, Kenton Police Officers had been searching for 35 year old Wayne Tolson for several days after a warrant was issued by the Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

The original charge originated from an felonious assault, domestic violence case from May of this year in Kenton.

They spotted a vehicle that they believed was being operated by Tolson and attempted a traffic stop, but Tolson fled west on West Columbus Street and then westbound on State Route 309.

As the pursuit neared 235, officers from the Ada Police Department attempted to deploy stop sticks, and upon reaching the intersection it appeared as though the suspect attempted to avoid the stop sticks, lost control of his vehicle and collided with another vehicle at the intersection.

Tolson was then taken into custody and soon after transported to Lima Memorial Hospital and then to the Multi County Jail in MArion.

The driver of the other vehicle appeared to be uninjured.

KPD was assisted by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the Ada Police Department and Ada EMS.
