A Kenton man has been indicted on two unclassified felony counts having to do with violations of safe drinking water requirements.

According to documents filed in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, count one of the indictment against Dale W. Albert alleges that on or about June 1, 2019 through July 16, 2021, he did knowingly make a false material statement or representation in an application, license, record, report or other document that was required to be submitted to the director of environmental protection or to the attorney general.

Count two alleges that on or about September 23, 2019 through April 21, 2021, he did knowingly alter, substitute, falsify, conceal or purposefully omit a sample that was required to be collected.

Albert is Superintendent of Water Treatment for the City of Kenton, but Mayor Lynn Webb and Safety Service Director Cindy Murray both stated that he provides services to other communities in the county, and they were unaware of the indictments against Albert.

They both assured residents in Kenton that the city water supply is safe.

The indictments were filed last week and did not indicate where the violations allegedly occurred.

Albert is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Court on January 17, 2024.
