Kenton Shut Down Sandusky in Weekend Boys Soccer Game

Kenton improved to 8–3-2 on the season with a 7-0 victory Saturday in Sandusky.

Reed Cook started the scoring for the Cats when he drilled a free kick from 23 yards 15 minutes into the game. Ten minutes later Hunter LaRue assisted Trent Yoder for a 2-0 lead. Riley Risner capitalized on a keeper miscue one minute later to make it 3-0. Nick Anderson found KP Miller with a nice through ball to make 4-0 going into halftime. Two minutes into the 2nd half Nick Anderson found the head of KP Miller for his 2nd goal of the game. Half way through the 2nd half KP Miller assisted Gus Forester. Colby Quay scored a hustle goal to cap off the scoring. Brent Rader saved a PK and made an additional save recording the 8th shutout on the season for the Cats.

The JV Cats lost a tough fought battle with Avon 2-0. Devin Miller recorded 6 saves in goal for the Cats. They fall to 9-3 on the season.

Both teams are back in action tonight (Monday) with state ranked #7 Shawnee coming to town. JV kicks off at 5 and varsity at 7.
