Students at Kenton Elementary School will be hosting Leadership in Me Day on Wednesday March 22.

Finnigan Sprang, who will serve as a Student Tour Guide during the event, talks about what will take place during the event, “The students at KES share their WIGS, classroom jobs, leadership clubs and service projects. The students also show Town Hall meetings and how Leader in Me is used in their classrooms.”

The WIGS mentioned by Finn stands for Wildly Important Goals, which he said the day helps them to achieve the ultimate goal of being leaders in the community, ”One example is when my club made Christmas cards to share with residents of our local nursing homes. One club also made dog treats to donate to the Humane Society. The Sports and Games Club made goody bags for the Varsity Boys Basketball team to show them support.”

Leadership Day is free, but Finn said you need to register now, ”You can go to: go.kcs.me/leadershipday

That will take you to the KCS Leadership Day website. On the site, you will be able to view our Leadership Day video from last year and also register to attend this year’s free event.”
