Kenton High School art students recently traveled to Glass Axis in Columbus to learn about the art of glass blowing.
The students saw how thin glass can be blown and stretched.
An artisan then demonstrated how a bowl is created.
Students worked one-on-one with an artisan to create their own blown glass ornament.
After lunch, they toured the art department at The Ohio State University.
This glass blowing opportunity was possible through a grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
