Now that a 7 year old Kenton girl has been found safe, the investigation into her disappearance ramps up.

After Trinity Hurt was reported missing this past Thursday morning, a multi-agency effort to find her was initiated.

The search came to a successful end late Friday night when Trinity was found in a vacant home on County Road 180.

She had some bruises and scratches but was otherwise in good condition and was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital to be examined.

Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser credited good police work that led to her discovery.

He stated that investigators followed up on a lead from School Resource Officer Dan Foulk, which led them to the location.

A Kenton man is being held at the Multi County Jail in Marion.

Charles Castle has been charged with kidnapping in connection to the case.

He is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Hardin County Municipal Court this afternoon.

In the meantime, a request for public assistance has been requested.

To aid in an ongoing investigation, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the assistance of anyone who may have security cameras or trail/hunting cameras that were in operation anywhere in the vicinity of 9458 County Road 180 anytime from November 10   through November 12.

If so, contact Detective Terry Sneary at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

The number is (419)673-1268.
