KMS Wresting Team Defeats Defiance

The Kenton Middle School wrestling team came away with a win over Defiance 41-40 last night in a home dual match.

Both teams were knotted up at 40-40 after all the matches and tie-breaker criteria was used to determine the final outcome with Kenton on top.

Both teams had the same amount of pins, defaults and major decisions; but Kenton had more first points awarded in each match by 9-4 to break the tie and defeat Defiance.

Kenton won five of the seven contested matches with pins from Landon Dillard over Fortman Jackson, Landen Elliott over Christian Rodriguez, Aaron Modd over Reese Frederick and Gavin Manns over Beau Hesselschwadt. Anthony Hunt also won by 11-1 Major Decision over Alex Vance. Kenton will be hosting Ottawa-Glandorf in a dual match this Thursday, February 14th.
