Larry Michael Mullins

Larry Michael Mullins, 79 of Kenton passed away on September 11, 2020 at Blanchard Place.  He was born on July 18, 1941, the son of Gene and Mary Kaiser Mullins.  Larry graduated from Kenton High School in 1959 and worked for many years as a heavy equipment and crane operator on building projects throughout Ohio. In the mid 1980’s, he accepted a job as Assistant Superintendent at the state highway garage for Hardin County, retiring in 2003.  He also sold real estate for Bear Reality. He was a member of the Kenton Elks and Moose Lodges, the Hardin County Humane Society and the Knights of Columbus. Larry is survived by a sister, Sue Mullins of Marion, a brother, Tom (Pam Beltz) Mullins of Bloomington, MN; nephew, Gene (Tiffani Schammel) Mullins of Prior Lake, MN and his children, Nick, Hayley and Matthew Mullins and a niece, Julie Mullins

(Shawn) Schmidt and her children; Cody and Madison Schmidt and many close cousins and family. Larry was a generous man and he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Friends may attend the Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conceptions Catholic Church in Kenton on Friday, September 25,

2020 starting at 11:00am. Friends can visit with family prior to the funeral mass from 9:30 – 10:30am on Friday at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.  A graveside service will follow.  Please follow all social distancing and mask directives.  Memorials can be made in memory of Larry to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation or Hardin County Humane Society. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the management and staff at Blanchard Place in Kenton and Universal Hospice for the outstanding care and many special considerations they gave to Larry.
