A LaRue man suffered serious injuries in a crash that occurred over the weekend in Marion County.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, at around 7:50 Saturday evening, 32 year old Johnny Arthur II was operating a 2016 Subaru WRX west on State Route 95 when a vehicle attempted to pass him.

As an eastbound vehicle approached, the vehicle that was passing swerved to the right causing Athrur to travel off the right side of the road.

The Subaru struck a driveway embankment and house before overturning. It then struck a parked vehicle and tree.

Arthur was ejected and was taken by helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

The vehicle that was passing, described by witnesses as a black BMW, fled the scene.

Since it did make contact with Arthur’s Subaru WRX, damage could be contained to the right side of the BMW.

If you have any information, contact the Ohio State Highway Patrol at (740) 383-2181.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Scioto Valley Fire and EMS, Northern Union County Fire and EMS, Red Cross, and Kirby’s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
