Latest Information on Status of Fairs Around the Region

The decision on what county fairs will look like this year is still being made by some fair boards, while some have already been decided.

 

In our region, the Marion County Fair, which was scheduled to start June 29 has been cancelled. Junior Fair shows have been scheduled for July 18-25.

 

Most senior events for the Union County Fair that was to start July 25, have been cancelled. A Junior Fair is planned.

 

Planning continues on the Allen County Fair in August. Updates will be provided.

 

The Hancock County Ag Society board of directors met this week and resolved to continue planning a traditional fair with several modifications, which will be determined over the next few weeks.

 

The Wyandot County Senior Fair Board is moving ahead with plans for a 2020 Junior Fair. The decision about a full fair will be made at the July meeting.

 

The Logan County Fair starting July 12 will be a modified fair to include Junior Fair activities, concessions, limited grandstand entertainment and new family activities. There will be no rides or midway games.

 

The Auglaize County Fair, starting August 2, announced this week that they will proceed as planned with modifications.

 

The Hardin County Ag Society is still planning and preparing for the Hardin County Fair in September.

 

A decision will be made on or before August 5.
