The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Russells Point Police Department, Washington Township Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol and additional safety service partners continue to assist the greater Indian Lake Community following the March 14 tornadoes.

The primary concern is the safety and security of the public as recovery efforts continue.

Law enforcement personnel are on patrol 24 hours a day by vehicle and on foot in residential and business areas.

Additionally, portable street lights will remain in operation from dusk to dawn to illuminate the areas of Geiger Home Trailer Park, Midway, Orchard Island and the area of Westview Street in Russells Point.

To regulate traffic, law enforcement personnel will continue to maintain a presence at numerous intersections throughout portions of Russells Point, Washington Township and the area surrounding Indian Lake.

Members of the Ohio National Guard are working within public areas and the right-of-way to get U.S. 33 and other roads open.

In the meantime, the public is reminded to follow detours.
