Leighton Street Bridge to Close for Repairs

The Leighton Street bridge in Kenton will be shut down beginning on Thursday July 6.

Kenton Safety Service Director Cindy Murray stated that the Ohio Department of Transportation advised the city that deficiencies were noted during a recent inspection.

ODOT said that the bridge needed to be closed until the repairs can be made.

No timetable was given as to how long the bridge will be closed.
