The Lima Police Department recently announced that a multi-phase memorial project will be completed in front of the department.  In the final phase of the project, they plan to include brick pavers being installed in front of the police department.

The pavers will be available to purchase for any police officer or civilian employee who has retired from the LPD. It will have three lines laser etched into the brick. The first line will be the person’s rank or position within the LPD when they retired. The second will be the person’s name, and the last line will be the dates of when that person served.

The cost will be $50.00.  They will also honor every Police Chief, every officer that has died in the line of duty, and any officer who has died while serving, at no cost to the family. Officers who have died in the line of duty will have gold stars etched into their pavers as well.

For more information or to purchase a paver, please visit the Lima Police Department on Facebook.
