Lima Residents Warned About Scam Phone Calls

The Lima Police Department is warning residents about a scam taking place in the city.

The department has recently received several complaints of telephone scammers attempting to portray themselves as Lima Police Detectives. 

Police officials stated that they would not have detectives claim to be a part of a fraud unit, and then attempt to gain your personal information over the phone.

Residents should not give out any information to those callers.
