Man Arrested After Incident in KPD Parking Lot

A Kenton man was arrested over the weekend after an incident in the parking lot of the Kenton Police Department.

According to the report, a male  who was suspected of being under the influence of illicit drugs, approached two officers in the parking lot.

After a series of events, the man, identified as James Powell Jr., was placed under arrest for menacing and obstructing official business.

He was also cited for operating a vehicle intoxicated, no driver’s license and prohibited parking.

Additional charges are pending lab results.
