Man Arrested After Overnight Pursuit in Findlay

A pursuit involving a motorcycle took place in Findlay early this morning.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, an officer attempted to stop the motorcycle for speeding in the 2300 block of South Main Street at around one this morning.

The operator of the motorcycle did not stop and led the officer on a pursuit which continued south on Main and out of the city limits on U.S. 68.

After turning west onto County Road 40, the motorcycle stopped.

The pursuit lasted approximately 4 miles and reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The operator was identified as 26 year old Joshua Miller, who was placed under arrest for failing to comply as well as operating a vehicle while intoxicated.  He was also issued a citation for speeding and operating with license plates from another vehicle.

All of the charges are misdemeanors and Miller was released with a court date assigned.
