Man Shot Dead in Carey; Suspect Arrested

A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the Village of Carey over the weekend.

According to a release from Carey Police Chief Ryan Doe, officers were dispatched to 104 Lindenwood Place in the Wyandot County village late Saturday night where they found the body of a man.

The victim has been identified as Nathan A. Stroub, age 42 of Carey.

A short time later, a male suspect arrived at the Carey Police Department and was detained.

43 year old Samuel Seabert is being held on a charge of murder.

Additional charges could be forthcoming pending the investigation and the presentation to a Wyandot County Grand Jury.

The case remains under investigation by the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting.
