A man who was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for killing two women in Hardin County in 2008 died in prison on Tuesday.
Terry Shepherd was being held at the Toledo Correctional Institution.
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction listed his death at the age of 56, but not the cause, on its website.
Shepherd pleaded guilty to killing 52-year-old Deb England and 56-year-old Judy Kearley in October of 2008.
He also admitted to going to the home of 78-year-old Claradell Keller in Wyandot County in September of that year, where he robbed her, choked her to death, tied her up and set her house on fire.
Shepherd was arrested while hiding in the basement of a home in Kenton the day after England and Kearly disappeared.
