Marion Palace Theatre Artistic Team Announces the Cast of “THE MUSIC MAN”

Marion, Ohio – June 10, 2019 – More than 70 individuals will take the stage in the production of “THE MUSIC MAN” July 13-July 21 at the historic Marion Palace Theatre. Directed by Clare Cooke, the musical comedy will be performed on five show dates: Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m.; Friday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, July 21 at 2 p.m.

This Tony Award-winning Broadway classic by Meredith Willson follows a fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

Cast as leads in this production are Ron Boose as Harold Hill, Sara Grote as Marian Paroo, Morgan Schwartz as Eulalie Shinn, John Garnes, II, as Mayor Shinn, Dustin Rawlins as Marcellus Washburn, Leah Menzie as Mrs. Paroo, Brady Wink as Tommy Djilas, Madisen Schenk as Zaneeta Shinn, and Brody Cahill as Winthrop Paroo.

Portrayals in secondary roles are Kain Anderson, Bishop Oldfield, Eric Julian Walker, and Tanner Wink as School Board Members/Barbershop Quartet; Kara Adkins, Valerie Dunmire, Carina Geissler, Audrey Watkins, and Sadie Wink as “Pick-a-Little Ladies;” Bob Sullivan-Neer as Charlie Cowell; Kevin Emigh as Constable Locke; Katelyn Wicker as Amaryllis; and Elliana Schenk as Gracie Shinn.

Rounding out the cast as Townspersons, Traveling Salesmen, Boys Band members, and River City Ladies will be Kenneth Ash, II, Kenneth Ash, III, Michael Baker, Lynette Burris, Abigail Bush, Liam Bush, Gabby Cametti, Elijah Carroll, Hannah Carroll, Olyver Coy, Londyn Danals, Macyn Danals, Kevin Emigh, Linda Fargo, Doug Ford, Sharon Gale, Blake Huffaker, Mitchell Hutchman, Meghan James, Lilyana Jenkins, Sally Kilburn, Krissy Klaiber, Kylie Klaiber, Justen LaPlante, Judy Little, Alli McCleary, Quinn Menzie, Zane Menzie, Ian Moore, Sophia Raimo, Madeleine Rawlins, Brynn Rudd, Zoey Sayre, Brian Schenk, Halli Schenk, Derek Schoch, Gretchen Schoch, Torin Schoch, Nancy Shaffer, Emma Shetler, Natalie Shetler, Olivia Shirring, Delaney Tabbert, Brody Thomas, Ashley Watkins, Susan Wenig, Ruby Williams, and Kristi Wink.

Under the direction of Clare Cooke the artistic team includes Assistant Director & Choreographer Kristi Wink, Orchestra Director Rick Baird, Vocal Director Blake Huffaker, Set Construction Jeff Baldauf and Baldauf Construction, Costume Director Susan Wenig, Rehearsal & Pit Pianist Dee Ehrman, Stage Manager Barb Yaksic, and Assistant Stage Manager Rhonda Arnold.

Tickets are $40 Patrons, $23/$19 Adults, and $12 Children 12 and under.
