Marion Palace Theatre Offers a Variety of Arts and Entertainment Opportunities in September

Marion, Ohio – September offers entertainment seekers a plethora of choices at the historic Marion Palace Theatre. Events scheduled to take place include a classic rock concert, a painting class, music and craft beer tasting event, and movie weekends.

The Guess Who, rock music’s top hit-makers of 1960s and 70s are set to perform a live concert at the Marion Palace Theatre on Friday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. Their impressive collection of hit singles includes “These Eyes,” “Clap For the Wolfman,” “Hand Me Down World,” “No Time,” “Star Baby,” “Share the Land,” “No Sugar Tonight,” “Laughing,” “Undun,” and of course their #1 rock anthem “American Woman.” Reserved seating tickets for The Guess Who concert are available for purchase and are priced at $34, $40, $46, and $52. Those interested in exploring their creative side are invited to enroll in “Cup & Canvas” on Thursday, September 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. With sample paintings as a reference and qualified instructor Anne Quilter to guide participants through the process, this is sure to be an enjoyable night out alone or with friends. Friday, September 27 will kick off the Music in the May series. The “Beats & Brews” event features local rock band Omega Kick and a craft beer tasting by Marion Brewing Company. Ticket prices are $16 show; $5 flight of 4 beers; $15 cheese/food board. A cash bar will be available for other drinks of choice. Sponsored by United Bank.

September movies scheduled to take place include “The Angry Birds Movie 2,” rated PG on September 13, 14, and 15; “The Art of Racing in the Rain,” rated PG on September 21 and 22; and “Overcomer,” rated PG on September 27, 28, and 29. When available, Sunday afternoon movies will show with open captions. In addition, select sensory-friendly films will be shown on Saturday mornings.
