A 19-year-old Marion resident was arrested after a standoff with Marion Police Thursday morning.
According to a release from the Marion Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Olney Street to investigate a report about a domestic disturbance.
The female victim was injured after being hit with a bottle and transported to Marion General Hospital for injuries, she was later released.
The male suspect, 19-year-old Randy Johnson, did not respond to numerous attempts to get him to exit the residence.
Johnson also had warrants from an unrelated case where he had shot himself.
The Marion Combined Special Response Team was activated while attempts to contact Johnson and get him to exit the residence continued.
At 1:15 Thursday afternoon after numerous warnings, chemical agents were introduced into the home.
Around 40 minutes later, Johnson was located hiding in the attic of the house and was arrested.
He was transported to Marion General Hospital and cleared medically before being transported to the Multi-County Correctional Center on felonious assault charges and his existing warrants.
