Marysville Man Killed in Union County Crash

A 43 year old Marysville man was killed in a crash that occurred Thursday afternoon in Union County.

According to a release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Frank L. Blackburn drove off the road while traveling east on Allen Center Road.

The car struck a culvert and rolled over.

Blackburn was transported to Memorial Hospital where he later died.

An investigation revealed that Blackburn had been involved in an accident a short time earlier and left the scene.

Excessive speed was a significant factor in the fatal crash.

Allen Center Road was closed for approximately three hours while the crash was investigated.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Allen Township Road Maintenance Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
