Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board Launches Mobile Response & Stabilization Services for Logan and Champaign Counties

The Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties recently announced the addition of MRSS (Mobile Response & Stabilization Services) to Logan and Champaign Counties.

They received a grant award from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and have contracted with Coleman Health Services to implement the program.

MRSS is available to families with youth and young adults up to age 21 who are experiencing emotional difficulties or distress.

After calling MRSS, families can receive crisis support and de-escalation services from a team of behavioral health professionals for up to six weeks in their home or preferred community location.

Support includes skill building, peer support, referrals and linkage to ongoing services or other community resources. MRSS services can range from behavioral challenges to suicidal crises.

Response times vary from one to 72 hours depending on the level of crisis.
